This morning I noticed a very thin layer of frost on the branches of the tree that stands outside my bedroom window… I guess we’re slowly reaching the transition of a mild autumn to nippy winter days again…
…the weather outside seems gloomy, but nothing warms up my heart and soul than a warm soothing cup of vanilla chai latte. If you’re wondering how to make this, simply steep your chai tea bag in a cup of hot milk. Top off with fresh whipped cream and a light sprinkling of cinnamon or nutmeg for that extra warmth and sweetness. :)
I’ll be getting ready to leave my house to visit my friend Amy (Kitty-chan) in Norfolk. She has been a good friend to me since our senior year in high school. …actually, she’s more like an older sister to me - she’s kind, mature, cool, and confident. She’s had her share of ups and downs in the 5 years I didn’t see her after high school but since her return from Vegas last year she has grown to be a great person as well as a single mother. I can’t wait to see little Connor; he’s so adorable and looks more like his mama every day :) I absolutely love Kitty’s family; even after these years, they treat me as part of the family - even Kitty told me that her siblings ask for me now and then. :) I can’t wait to see them all for lunch… I’m still wondering what she has in mind for cooking before she heads out to class… ^-^
It’s been rough looking for another job after leaving M&E. I’ve turned in a lot of applications thus far but none have neither returned my calls nor follow-ups. …it is a bit discouraging especially since it is the holiday season, but I’m determined to not give up. There’s bound to be a place somewhere where I’ll be accepted…

Once I have a new job and am settled with it, I will begin to save up for a trip I’m planning for next year. Well, a couple of trips. One trip for sure will be in the Philippines for my cousin’s wedding in December 2012; I haven’t been there since summer of 2005 and I would love to be able to see my maternal grandparents again. The other trip I am saving for big time is for Japan which will also be around the same timeframe as the wedding. I’m not sure when the exact date for the wedding will be but I am aiming to go to Japan for 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. I can’t wait until that time… It is nice to travel and get away for a while…
*stretch*
…I’m always thanking God for giving me another day in this beautiful life. I pray that he’ll forgive me if I don’t love it enough.
Live your dreams and shine on. :) xoxo <3

O’hello~ ^0^
How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I hope everyone has recovered from their turkey comas or Black Friday shopping madness :3
Sorry it has been a while since I actually made a post… Too much going on on my end :(
…I’m starting to feel as though I’ve come down with a cold. I’ve been sneezing for quite a bit today and needless to say, I’m not too happy about it. Not many of us like to get sick, and… A cold is something I don’t like very much either… >.>
… *sigh*
My family went up to NJ again for Thanksgiving while I worked my butt off at my now only job. They’ll be coming back home tomorrow morning. I’ve been enjoying the company of the guys so that I wouldn’t have to be alone while they were away. As much as I like the silence of the house, I don’t like the feeling of being alone in such a big place.
Working at the retirement home has been tradition for me since I started working there at 16. I don’t think I’d want to spend my holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s) any other way. The residents there have always been there for me as my family - I’m actually proud to say that I treat them all as such. Hell, they’re all the grandmas, grandpas, and everyone else I can list that I never had in my family before. I’m always so thankful (especially during this time of year) because I work so hard for them and even during the hardest times, they’ve been there to listen to what I have to say or even help me out in the smallest or biggest way that they can.
What I’m really looking forward to is December 8th when they distribute the gift checks to the employees. We have a policy to not accept any gifts or tips, but we always encourage throughout the year to contribute to the employee Christmas Fund - no matter how long we’ve been there, everyone is given a check. All from the residents. And the best part is that they personally give the checks to you. It’s a very humbling time for me… I can’t wait to give my hugs and thank yous on that very day :)
…I still can’t believe that it’s almost December… Where the hell has the time flown you guys? Seriously… D:
…
…I’m running out of things to say… Damn.
…
…maybe I’ll try again later… I think my cold(?) is keeping me kinda distracted.
…
…at least he’s here so I’m not too worried. ^-^
